WORSHIP PSALM

The Revelation to John chapter 4 is a vision of heaven with the elders and angels singing the praise of God in traditional words which have been used by Christians for two millennia. This psalm is written so that the words might be used as a prayer by groups of people, as well as an individual. This time, it has a repeated chorus, where everyone (or a second group) can join in.

  1. Holy, holy, holy, God of power and might:
who was, who is, and who is to come.

  2. You're worthy of glory, the universe is yours:
God, you accept our worship, for by you all things exist.

  3. The Lamb, who was killed, is worthy of worship:
wisdom is his, and strength, and glory and praise.

  4. To One who sits in power and also to the Lamb:
be praise and honour and glory for ever and ever.

  5. Holy, holy, holy, God of power and might:
who was, who is, and who is to come.

  6. The Spirit and the bride say 'Come':
from you the water of life is given to us freely.

  7. The city of God is filled with your presence:
in us you are making all things new.

  8. Holy, holy, holy, God of power and might:
who was, who is, and who is to come.

  9. Heaven and earth are full of your glory:
we'll praise and worship you for ever and ever.
